For nearly 18 years, BW was more than a pet. He was a quiet guardian, a steady heartbeat in our home, and a source of comfort through every season of life.

Over the years, BW became part of our routines. The sound of his paws on the floor, the way he’d curl up in the sunniest spot of the house, the way he always seemed to know when someone needed company, and the way he would check in on you if he heard you sniffle or sneeze.

BW definitely had his quirks, his favorite hiding spot, his particular way of meowing when his meals were late, the way he’d nudge anything out of the way to claim a lap.

In his final days, BW remained graceful. We held him close, whispered our thanks, and let him go with love.
