Bear was born October 31, 2009 and passed away at home with his family right by his side on November 15, 2023.

Bear was the best Dog you could ever come across.  Bear loved his trips up north to visit Auntie Katie and Uncle Tim.  He enjoyed his hair brushing from Aunt Katie, all those butt scratches, and all the belly rubs.

Bear was truly a bottomless pit.  No matter what you were eating – he wanted some.  And it showed with those long lines of drool.  Treats were required every time he walked in the door.  Pottie break or not.  He also looked forward to visiting his friends at the bar and drink a little beer with his Dad every year on his Birthday.  He loved beer.

Bear also had a knack for tug of war and had super strong jaws.  There is no one alive that ever beat him.  Not even his Dad.

You were one of a kind Bear.  We will miss your constant barks in the middle of the night, all the wet spots where you drooled watching us eat, your guard dog capabilities, and your constant company no matter where we were or what room we were in.  You were right by our side.

But most of all – we will miss your love and loyalty.  It will take time to heal and this silence to go away.  We will listen for you and miss you every single day.  You were such a good companion, always loyal and true.  Now our hearts will only wear the pawprints left by you.

Forever with you, Bear, would not have been enough.

You will be missed dearly by your Dad – Steve Staats, your Mom – Kris Dhein and your little buddies Harley and Jaxson.  There is no more pain for you.  Run free Bear!
