Belgian Malinois
8x IGP3, FH2, Stp2
Bern’s sire was the famous, Graubaer’s Boker, who won the USCA Working Dog Championship and the 2014 FCI IPO3 World Championship, as well as starring in Seasons 2 and 3 of the television show “Person of Interest”. In the show, he played a dog named “Bear”. Bern’s name was chosen as a tribute, being a derivative of Bernard, which means “bold as a bear, or warrior.” And that he was indeed!
He excelled in the sport of schutzhund/IGP, winning many trials and championships himself. We traveled the country together for those competitions, spending countless hours in training. His mischevious glance told me he was about to flop onto the ground for a belly rub. Even as age and illness robbed him of health he never lost that spark, nor love of a good belly rub. He was dearly love and now dearly missed by Deb and Tom Krsnich.
