When Buddy came into our lives nearly 12 years ago, our family was changed forever. From the very beginning, he showed us what unconditional love truly looks like.

Buddy was bright, joyful, and full of adventure. He loved his walks, long car rides, early mornings, Pet Smart runs, tummy tickles, and curling up for his naps. He had a spirit for travel, too. He experienced so much with us: the Florida beaches, the Tennessee mountains, the South Carolina sunshine, the Michigan lakes, and countless little road trips to parks across Wisconsin. No matter where we went, Buddy was always ready for the journey, wagging his tail with excitement. 

Buddy was truly more than a pet. He was the heart of our family, the glue that held us together, and our greatest blessing. He always found a way to make us smile and to light up our lives. He was so special. Even in his final days, he never stopped showing up for us. His strength was inspiring.

Buddy’s absence will hurt forever and our home will never be the same without him, but we take comfort in believing he is at peace now, running free, happy, and surrounded by all the broccoli his beautiful heart desires. 

We love you always and will miss you forever, Buddy. We hope you rest in peace our sweet baby.
