Doris “Noodles” Lee

April 13, 2026

Doris came into our lives when she was 13 years young. Despite having been through tough times, including having her lower jaw removed, she never had any problems eating and remained a happy girl full of spirit. As she aged, she faced many challenges—arthritis, a hernia, loss of hearing, and losing sight in one eye—but she always kept smiling with her sparkling face.

Last year, she woke up one morning having lost the use of her back legs, and the vet told us she would never walk again. We weren’t ready to give up; we bought her a wheelchair and massaged her legs and back every day. Eventually, she began to zoom around in her wheelchair and even started walking on her own again—wobbly, but walking. Doris was never scared of dogs a thousand times larger than her; she was truly the bravest girl I know.

We feel so lucky to have had her in our lives. We know she is running now and doing her spinning with her brother, George. While we miss her every single day, we find comfort in knowing we will see her again. She leaves behind her sister, Dolly, who also misses her greatly.

We love you, Dory.
